From standout ensembles to emotional tributes, the 32nd Actor Awards celebrated the year’s best performances in film and television on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Hosted by Kristen Bell and streamed live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, this was the first ceremony under its newly rebranded title, the Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA — emphasizing the guild’s focus on performers as the heart of the industry.

Film highlights

The drama Sinners emerged as the night’s biggest film winner, taking home Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Michael B. Jordan also won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his work in the Ryan Coogler-directed film, marking another milestone in his awards season journey.

Jessie Buckley won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Hamnet. Supporting honors went to Sean Penn (One Battle After Another) and Amy Madigan (Weapons). In the action category, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning claimed Outstanding Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.

Television highlights

Television was dominated by ensemble-driven series. The Pitt won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, with Noah Wyle and Keri Russell earning individual acting awards for their roles. In comedy, The Studio swept its categories, with Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara taking home top actor awards. Rogen’s acceptance on behalf of O’Hara, who passed away in January, was one of the evening’s most emotional moments.

Limited series recognition went to Owen Cooper (Adolescence) and Michelle Williams (Dying for Sex). The television stunt ensemble award was won by The Last of Us.

Lifetime achievement and ceremony highlights

The show opened with its signature “I am an actor” segment, featuring appearances from Teyana Taylor, Michael J. Fox, and other stars. Later, Woody Harrelson presented the prestigious Life Achievement Award to Harrison Ford, honoring decades of cinematic contributions.

This year’s results underscored the continued strength of ensemble storytelling in both film and television, highlighting the actors who bring these stories to life. The Actor Awards remain a key showcase of performance excellence, giving insight into the season’s standout talent.
